Cold weather

Good afternoon just wondering if it’s normal in this cold weather for the Temperature gauge to come up to normal in about
4 miles range of speed 30 to 50 could there be a underlying fault it has recently overheated few weeks back going up hill first it sounded like a roaring sound & had to put foot down to power up the hill just wondering your thoughts a bit worried about driving it to be honest just Incase it happen’s again

Thanks

My 2011 4.4 TDV8 gets up to temp quickly but it is helped by the FBH which I don't know if you have? Bish.

If it’s a 3.6 Tdv8 as per your signature, it should have FBH fitted as standard. John

Ultimately, overheating issues don't usually fix themselves so I would get the cooling system check out. Bish.
