a TDV8 / SDV8 complete failure is generally very rare.

Sounds horrible but if you can get it done for around £5K and get Warranty Wise to pay for some/all of it then you may have got away with it; good luck!

I had the same thing happen with an X5 a few years ago. One week out of warranty, the timing chain jumped its guide and the engine are itself. £22k quote from BMW and no good will.

No, not me I’m afraid D3Jon. Much as a Westfield sounds great, I’m afraid my only 4 wheeled transport in 2002 was a purple T reg VW polo company car.
