Radio volume stuck below level 7

The radio volume on my 4 month old P400e has decided it doesnt want to adjust beyond level 7 (which is very quiet). Before I go through the hassle of taking it back to the stealer I just wondered if there was an easy fix. This happens whether I use the volume knob on the centre console or the steering wheel control. I have tried switching the ignition off and on several times but to no avail

Any ideas? The last time the volume control worked properly was with Apple Carplay hooked up via my iPhone a couple of days ago. I have tried Carplay again since but the volume issue is the same in that mode

Don't know about these fancy new motors but with the L322 there is a volume limiting facility accessed via the audio setup. Could that be possible solution if it is set at a low level? John

It was one of my first thoughts that somehow I'd touched a setting deep in the menus somewhere but I couldnt find anything

Its like the volume has muted during a phone call or satnav instruction but never returned to normal level

I had the same volume maxing at 7 a few weeks ago. The technician suggested a reset of the infotainment system. This is done by physically pressing the volume button for 60 seconds! It worked. Also, he said that a reset is performed anyway after each car shutdown, when it enters sleep mode...
