My grandmother gave me hers when she quit driving. It was my first car.

It was spacious and very comfortable. Mine was the 1500 with the 5 speed box so was really quite relaxing and not bad on fuel.

However, it was also quite rusty, unreliable and looked like a hatchback but wasn't one. If they'd fixed these issues and not made it look like a blob of melted cheese it would've been an excellent alternative to a Golf.
