Hi everyone,

Does anyone have the umbrella holder that attaches to the front of the front passenger seat?

If you have one, could you please measure the overall length?

I'm trying to figure out if it will fit in my '09 L322. I called Land Rover and the nice customer rep looked into it. His answer? It's considered proprietary information and they can't give me this information. Yes, the size of the holder and brackets is proprietary. Information that every single person who bought one can measure.

I know it's not his fault and he sees the irony in this but it's frustrating since I'd like to see if I can make it work for me.

Larry, I can't help but I was led to believe it nevers rains in the land of the free

Unfortunately, here in California, we don't get nearly enough rain and have had years of drought! What's even worse is you may have heard about the wild fires along the whole west coast this past fall. Well right now we're getting rain by the bucket-full and there's worry about land slides in the areas that have been burned clear!

Lucky for me that I don't live where we were in any danger from the fires or from land slides. We were inundated with smoke during the fires but no threat of them getting to us.

My desire for the umbrella holder length is that from the length I can then estimate the spacing of the mounting holes to see if I can modify it to fit my L322.

Here in Jockland we leave them, yes THEM, on the floor. as they are an everyday item. best of luck

Larry, as JLR have been "so helpful", perhaps you could order one and if it is not suitable just return it for a full refund.

Most of the parts departments don't have them in stock and special orders are not returnable. Besides, I would like to stay on their good side. It's always a good idea to have the parts people on your side when you need some odd parts that are difficult to find!
