2011 re-sync key following key battery replacement

Hi all

I have searched for quite some time and failed to find what I thought would be very easy, but no!

I've replaced the battery in one of my keys, no problem, but I cannot get it to now work. I have found the instructions for syncing the key on an older model with a traditional ignition barrel but as mine is 'keyless' I cannot anywhere find the process of how to sort it. I presume I can do it myself as opposed to require a professional!?

I also don't have a manual (have ordered one today) so have no reference. Can someone please advise me what to do in the case of a 2011 model??

Thanks all

19 UNK,
The key automatically syncs with the car on 2010/12. models when you have changed the battery, but they are very fickle about working with some makes of replacement battery.
Duracell are a bit more expensive than some, but work every time.
Also be careful not to leave greasy fingerprints on the replacement by avoiding touching the faces and polishing it with a clean tissue.

I found that locking and unlocking the car from the outside forces the key to resync and be recognised.

Don't forget to place the key near the foot well light under the steering column.
