TDV8 P132E Turbo actuator - Seek help in Herts or N London

I have the dreaded p132E error code on my TDV8, which is stuck turbo actuators, I believe. My usual independent has checked the easier fix on the offside and it's free, but say they are unable to check the n/s actuator as it is inaccessible. They want 28 hours labour to take the body off and then replace the turbos. That probably makes it beyond economical repair.

I've seen some threads discussing how other owners have battled underneath with very limited access and have successfully lubed the actuator with WD40 and 3inOne oil, but I think this is beyond my limited spannering skills.

I'm based in Hertfordshire near the border with Enfield, N.London, but would be willing to travel to a specialist who'd be willing to give it a go without taking the body off the car. The car is drivable, albeit on reduced power. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks.

As far as i am aware the FF range is a tub so you cannot take the body off.
if that is what they are saying then i would seek out a specialist.

What’s all this body off malarkey that folk get told Shocked as above, it’s a monocoque design so the body isn’t separate, it’s the structure.

You could prob drop the front subframe, but that would be a hell of a lot of work.

I’ve never done it, and no expert, but I’d be getting an endoscope and finding it myself, then getting oil and covering the thing before I let an expensive strip down occur....

....and you CAN get to the N/S actuator arm to spray your lubricant of choice onto it, but you won't be able to see the top of the actual actuator arm, so you'll need a big straw and a good aim! Thumbs Up Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Thanks for your replies. For the sake of a roll around on the floor and a can of WD40, I'm going to have a go at it.

I agree this is exactly as I did it. WD40 do a can with a long flexi metal straw thing on it to free it off and then the same straw will fit onto a spray 3 in 1 can to lube it. Just remember everytime you are dropping the oil to spray the actuators 2010 3.6TDV8 Stornoway Grey/ Black interior - gone
