I had always thought of these as a pointless gimmick. But all the doors were frozen shut this morning I made the mistake of trying them all. I eventually got in and going and as you might guess as they got warm the doors freed up and the door open warning light blinked on but the soft close just pulled them shut. On my previous Range Rovers (no soft close) they would just fling open when going round a corner - alarming and needing a quick stop to close affected doors. So not such a pointless gimmick after all. |
