Scotland 2017 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Corris Grey

My 2017 MY with 28,000 miles was checked and the brake lines were OK, though scoring on inside of front discs with suggestion these be replaced when the pads are changed. But my 2012 WM had a brake line corrosion advisory when about three to four years old, it was treated with Dinitrol or the like and was then OK during the rest of my ownership. So it is unusual to have corrosion advisories at that age, but not outstandingly so, especially if it is (say) a car that spends a lot of time outside on the coast and is constantly exposed to salt. Scottish cars in general will be worse for corrosion, probably worse now with the lockdown this year and last.

My impression is that LR's approach to protecting vehicles from corrosion is to look at the average use worldwide, and not to go to the expense of protecting cars in higher corrosion countries, Scotland is probably about the worst place. Only Range Rovers since 1988

What exactly did the advisory say?

ISTR that you can get one if the pipes are coated with a grease for protection as the tester is not allowed to clean to inspect. Cheers

If its Sotlandish then yes a 17my FF might need brake pipes changing! Not too unusual...
