That’s strange.
It levers upwards then reveals the actual lock on mine.

That’s right, it’s on all of them.

Key up and in them pull the bottom of the key towards you away from the door. The hand book pics are a bit off. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Mine has a regular keyhole on the offside, but the nearside lock cover doesn’t have the little hole to ease it off, nor does it want to come off with some trim removal tools. And it doesn’t have a little picture of a padlock on it...unless there are aftermarket covers Shocked

^^^^^^^ Well, that sorted it.

Knocked up a couple of connectors, inserted as above, albeit mine was slightly offset, it I guessed on the one with all the corrosion on it, hooked up to a charger for a few minutes and...Lo...managed to get in.

From there, just a matter of hooking it up to the Landy for a while and it fired up first time.

Nice long run to get some charge back in it and we’re good to go. Forgotten how nice it is to drive after 10 weeks in a Toyota in Abu.

It’s still got a JLR battery though, must be original as I can’t believe anyone would stick in an OEM battery as a replacement. I think I’ll change it, any suggestions? Got a nice yausa 100 ah for the Landy the other day for just over 100

Thanks everyone for all your assistance and especially Richard, who hunted round for a wiring solution for me.

If anyone is in any doubt on the 7pin (white cap) then earth to centre and the positive to the one that would be directly below if it’s on straight.

Cheers

Jools

The below may come in handy for anyone faced with being locked out of their RR with a flat battery.

Had the same problem with mine, completely dead battery that wouldn't even unlock the car. Same thing, everyone said remove the trim on the passenger door and there's the key hole. No, there wasn't. Had all sorts of suggestions ranging from attaching leads to the starter to somehow back feeding through the number plate lamps(!). Anyway, none of the more sensible suggestions worked, and mine didn't have a towbar so that wasn't an option either.

As a last resort I wondered if there was another way.... There is, and it turns out to be the easiest and simplest way to overcome this problem; jack up the o/s/f (No need to remove the wheel), pull down the front section of the wheel arch liner and then reach up through the inner wing area, grab hold of the bonnet release cable near the back of the headlight and give it a yank. You still won't be able to get in to the car but you'll at least be able to charge the battery and then unlock it with the remote.

Jayk69,
If you are making up a lead, it is just as easy to put 6mm connectors on the car end and connect directly to the battery feed in the rear fuse box and a convenient 6mm stud for the earth connection.
You will find that the lead easily passes out in the lower corner of the lower tailgate, then you can connect to your charger.
I have on made up and permanently connected on mine with a Ctek socket on th other end.
