Fuel pump differences LR015177 and LR015178 4.2 l SC vs 4.4

2006 RR SC


Am thinking that the PO may have installed an aftermarket pump in my car. The wiring has been hacked to accomodate it would appear. Does anyone have any idea what the differences are with the 2 pumps? I was thinking variable fuel pressure but that seems to be working. Online videos tend to indicate that people have installed the 4.4 pump. I want to be original as possible but it looks I will have to "unhack" things. Any ideas?
