Stupid battery excuses (I'd like to be able to use equipment with the engine off)
Reliability concerns
Front arm rests when up really mark the leather.

United Kingdom 2014 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Causeway Grey

Likes;
- Very stable for such a large vehicle
- Good all round visibility
- Premium feeling interior

Dislikes;
- Current styling features, such as front grill on current models
- Reliability is very poor
- Electrical issues

As well as being a motor trader I also do work for a hotel chain who use Range Rover's. They have a good size fleet, and apart from the fact at least 3 or 4 are always in the garage they dislike the new styling. So much so they have had new bespoke grilles produced for the current model that look like the slatted standard grilles on the 06my vehicles to replace the mesh ones. All their V8 SC 2006 - 2009 RR's are fitted with the STD grille's and rear lights replaced with the clear at top, red at bottom as found on the TD6, TDV8 etc.

2006 Range Rover HSE Td6 Stornoway Grey

My 2 penneth

Likes

Feels like no other car I have owned...it's special
Comfort and safety for the family
Capable 4 x 4, if I was braver it would be used more fully!

Dislikes
Putting fuel in much to frequently
Some parts just don't feel like prestige spec; eg rear windscreen washers that fail, hubs that rust
And, in my 2006, not being able to upgrade the onboard display to add sat nav, although clearly this is specific to my choice of car

I thought I was the only one with that idea.

Like:

1. Breadth of abilities (combination of luxury car road manners with great off-road performance, towing ability etc.);
2. dignified, elegant design (but see below); and
3. sense of occasion driving it (driving position, visibility, great interior etc.).

Dislike:

1. Increasingly vulgar styling details which could only appeal to tinkers/parvenus/criminals (if I wanted a sparkly gypsy caravan I would have bought one), and a sense that it's moving away from its roots (bling, standard tyres which aren't much use off-road, Range Rover as a brand etc.);
2. the owners to who the above changes appeal (Wink) ; and
3. some quality concerns.

Sharper handling and less body roll would be nice, but the 2011 model is an improvement in that respect.

I suppose with the number of model lines LR now produce it's inevitable that it will become just another expensive luxury car to flog to Chinese and Indian millionaires.

(MY 11.5 tdv8 4.4)

Like

1.the 'performance' of car of that size/weight
2.the comfort for driver and passengers
3.the 'allrounderness' of the thing; off-road, load lugger, 'smart' transport, towing, etc

Dislike (only had a month, but:)

1. the split of the rear door makes it hard to access for our dogs and for us to reach right into the back of the boot area (i'm @6'3" and I struggle, the wife is 5'1" and has to climb in!). poweboot close would be good too.
2. i'm not convinced re. keyless start/go
3. i like my stealers and have a good relationship with them, so will give some slack re resolution of battery issues, but such issues ought not occur on a car at this end of the market. AND if LR really do know there's a problem with some cars in the wild, they need to proactively get these cars in a fixed. Owners would love them for it.

1. Long distance cruising ability.
2. Interior design and space.
3. The warm feeling you get when driving it.

Dislikes

1. It's too big for parking spaces.
2. Direction of the brand.
3. Seats on 06 model were better, later ones are less supportive and leather wears quickly.
(seats on my 08 were more worn after 3 months than my 06 after 2 years)
