Software Upgrade / Update

Hi,

my 2012 TDV8 has not had a main dealer service in some time (Years) so i have no idear if there are any firmware updates required or by doing that i will open a can of worms!!
would it be worth the cost to run it into a main dealer for a plug in and have it flashed to the latest software?

Good question - I can see from the GAP IIDTool that mine has a few firmware updates needed, though I've no idea if/which any of them are needed.

Would be curious if they fix some of the random battery drain issues though!

I had the ECM updated to the latest level, citing the LTB for the 70 mph hesitation when using cruise control to the dealer as the reason but really looking for an improvement with light throttle driving in traffic whereby the torque converter would be unlocked until unnecessarily high revs. The update improved the torque converter lock-up significantly so I thought it worthwhile. Now the TC only wants to slip if less than about 1 second elapses between releasing the brake pedal and touching the accelerator, which isn't always achievable when in traffic.
