2010 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey
Autocar drives the new"baby" engined XF

This week's Autocar has a road test of the new 2.2ltr (it's the Freelander TD) diesel XF with the FFRR 8 speed auto box - 800miles on a tankful of derv and it is rated as a superb car.................. and beats a BMW 320 hands down. The engine is reported as being almost inaudible on the move and just about silent at standstill (it is when the stop/start cuts in!!). Combined cycle Fuel consumption is 52mpg.................... So when do we get the 52mpg RR? It won't be the Evoque as it still has the 6 speed auto. Jag dealers start taking orders next week and deliveries start in September.

Next week is Autocar's "first test" of an Evoque 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes
