DPF

I know that this subject has long been discussed, highlighting all of the problems with dealerships, regeneration etc etc.
I now own a 2014MY Range Rover L405 with a TDV6 engine and I would like to know if this car has a PDF or not. Reading the owners manual says "...vehicles equipped with a particulate filter...."
I have looked back at the servicing receipts from the previous owner and can see no mention of one, but as this is my first ever diesel engined car, I am totally ignorant of how to find out if it has such a thing.
My apologies for this question as I'm certain that all the experts on here can let me know.
Thanks. Goddo.

Being a 2014 car it will legally have to have a DPF fitted. They hate short journeys Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

As Rob said, it will have a DPF in order to comply with legislation that was brought into force in Sept 2009 (Euro 5 Exhaust Emissions). Kev

Thanks for the replies guys.
Unfortunately, like everyone else at the moment I am only able to make short journeys so the risk is for the inevitable warning lights to come on..
What is the best way to try and keep this filter clear?
Is it just taking it for a "reasonable" journey at a sustained speed?

You still have a DPF Stan, the add blue just makes the emissions a little cleaner Thumbs Up

The addition of the Add blue feature brings your car up to Euro 6 standard Stan, but is in addition to the DPF, NOT a replacement for it.

So, can I assume that the advice about leaving the car running for half an hour (to recharge a low battery) is as harmful as driving short distances? These Covid restrictions really aren't good for cars are they. Still, I should be able to get a good 200 mile run shortly so hopefully that will clear the tubes a bit. Very Happy Very Happy
