Compressor relocating

I bought a 322 that has had a gas conversion poorly fitted on it.
They have relocated the compressor and housing by screwing it to the back of the off side back seat.
It is noisy and it reduces the load carrying capacity.
It also stops the seat folding down properly.
Has anyone come across this and I would be intrested if anyone has come up with better alternative ways of re locating it. Eddie the eagle watch out 👀

Right hand cubby hole is where mine is, with a bit of plywood covered in the same fabric as the sides of the boot compartment is made of, looks factory fit.

Just a note of caution: if the compressor was relocated to such an odd place and you think the conversion was poorly done, is it worth getting it safety checked by a certified installer?
