What’s this cable?

Any ideas where this goes? To the right of the engine bay. 4.4 tdv8


 1995 4.6 v8, green/tan (long gone)
2005 4.8iS X5, blue/black
2011 4.4 tdv8, black/black (gone)
2003 3.0d X5, Oxford green/black/manual
2021 p575 SVR, BR green/vintage tan

England 2019 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Santorini Black

Possibly off the bottom of the fuel filter, for sensing water in the fuel.

As above. Will get restricted performance warning on dash if unplugged. Goes on the bottom of fuel filter.

Opened the bonnet for the first time since the service (fuel filter replaced) - no warnings on the dash and done a few k miles since ? 1995 4.6 v8, green/tan (long gone)
2005 4.8iS X5, blue/black

On my last service the report said 'sensor on fuel filter unplugged'. I questioned the Indy saying 'well you serviced it last'!
They said sometimes if this is left connected you might get a 'water in filter' message.
Mines been off for over 12 months now & never seen a message yet. 2012 Orkney Grey Westminster 4.4TDV8 with Ivory interior.........nice!

When mine came loose shortly after fuel filter change it displayed warning on dash.
Once reconnected was all ok.
