I took my car to a paint correction place over the weekend when i picked the vehicle up last night the passenger wing mirror was opening but going past the normal stop point and you could hear the motor still working. When locking the door mirror folds back in normally. I have tried the double press on the mirror buttons inside the vieichle

i can only guess but maybe the paint shop accidentally pushed the mirror past its stop point and damaged the mechanics..

edit...you could take the cover and mirror glass off and inspect the workings...details how to are in the WM [wiki] ... - .- -.
