LPG issues...... rough running

Crap..... car been running good for a few weeks now on LPG and petrol, took the wife for her first run in car...down to local shops....all went well , then came out from shops, started car and could feel an issue with lumpy engine ...drove out car park and engine management light flashing, luckilly only about one mile to house......connected diagnostic tool, read faults and cleared ( dont remember faults)....all well, then noticed empty of LPG.

Went well ran it around 25 miles next day with no issues

Today ran great around 15 miles , country roads and town

filled up with gas n petrol in Asda, got about 50 yards and gues what...... maagement light flashing, in limp mode 30mph max....so a 15 mile crawl home during which time had to shut off LPG system, and around 1 mile from home....cleared itself and runs great,,,,,though on petrol

gues what I'm doing tomorrow

First check your lpg filter this time of year with the colder weather a poor filter will mess things up.
Second check your vaporiser for leaks
Third keep checking lol

if you've got gas at the vaporizer and it stays on gas your solenoid shut of valves and temp and pressure sensors are unlikely to be the cause, don't forget you have a liquid filter in or before the vapouriser as well as the vapour filters prior to injector.
If its an old system it's not unheard of for the diaphragm to perish, I had this on a vauxhall system many years ago.

Hope that helps, there will be LPG expert guys on here that know a lot more than I do, but happy to put my twopence in if it helps.

Tinley Tech are a good source of filters and parts should you need any. Current 5.0 S/C Autobiography LPG

I suggest that it may be one or two of the LPG injectors which will pack up over time. If you have a spare rail, I’d be putting that on or swap the rails around to see if the fault moves sides.
