Is there a Forum run by Martin for Defenders.
I have one of the last TD5 90s that I bought new for my kids to take their test in and then get to sixth form college.
I am now spending some time fettling and could do with tips advice and other anoraks to chat with. letters not necessarily in the right order

Bottom right of home page, a TD5 onwards forum.

Is that suitable? Cheers
Richard

Thanks.
Just goes to show people only see the bit on a website that interests them and don't pay any attention to the peripheral advertising.
Do I need to register for that or can I use my existing log in letters not necessarily in the right order

Yep, me too...the defender one has just as many helpful members and there’s always someone who will know the answer.

There also bad people, who encourage you to spend your money on shiny things, so same as here really.

Having had my TD5 from new she is now starting to need some bigger jobs done, the forum were excellent, having spent all day removing the gearbox(s) I fitted a new clutch and flywheel and replaced the box. Before refitting all the peripherals I put the slave in place just to check it released the clutch. It did not. Censored . The forum very helpfully suggested the plate was the wrong way around, so everything out, invert the plate and get the F heavy box back up and slid in.
Now all done, could not have done it with out them.
May be in the next lockdown I will figure out how to get up some picks of my Landys. letters not necessarily in the right order
