I need a new job!

Because:

We're not allowed the light on in the corridoor that has no natural light, on the grounds of "it costs money"

We had to buy our own Air Con unit last year as the summer temperatures soared to over 30 degrees in our office. Now we've been told we cant have it on because "it costs too much money"

We have no hot water in the toilets because they wont run the boiler (only with the heating Nov - Mar)

And to top it off, I've just had to use my own superglue to fix a laser printer, when I said it's a temporary fix and the printer should be replaced immediately so we dont have down time I was then asked to estimate how long the printer would work for until it fails completely!

Joys!

This may actually be one of those occasions when Health and Safety could work in your favour. Just push the "where there's blame, there's a claim" line a lot, accompainied with an advisory note that getting sued and fined costs a damn sight more than electricity for a few bulbs.

As to the printer, your estimate on it's survival should be slightly less than the lead time for a new one (of course I wouldn't suggest that you help it's death along a bit as the days tick by Very Happy).

They sound like muppets though, so maybe a new job is the best way forward.
