Thanks for the quick reply Stan, I think I will let him do it. I’ll post the cost when the car comes back from service. It’s going in on the 14th Dec. Also having the starter motor changed, had the dreaded click a few times this year. |

Ask him how he changes the fluid. I want to do mine. Was going to do the syringe and fill method repeatedly Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

If it's of any use I changed my power steering fluid recently after 90k and 16 years. Simply used the siphon out and fill method, repeated until the fluid was bright green. I bought a one litre bottle of fluid and after about 7 changes had emptied the bottle.

^^ Did the first few changes switching the engine on each time, after that I just did a change after I had been using the car until I finished the bottle. |

Had to have a new rack on my 2011 because it was leaking. It cost £3400 so I think any preventative work is worth it. |

The undertray had a few drips of oil coming off it. I thought it was leaking from the front drive shaft initially. |
