the socket in the centre cubby is not working, i have tried all the others and they are working fine, i have also tried all the fuses associated with power sockets and cigar lighters. Is there something else I can try - I cant seem to work out how to access the under side so any pointers would be useful

Actually it's quite easy to remove, two torx screws visible when you open the cubby (front side) and it should just pull straight out.

Be careful of the wires connected below it as you lift it out. The cigarette socked has two spare connectors connected to it, it's possible/probable one of those has worked it's way loose, so it should be an easy fix.
