"v" Type engines are out of production now ( unless you want a left over ) . All the engines apart from the 5 ltr petrol are the 3 ltr straight six cylinder with mild hybrid assist in 2 states of tune 300 & 350 bhp . |

You'll keep this for several years (like I do)? I'd go for as new a powertrain as possible and I would not go for diesel unless high milage (resale etc). I love my P400e, but a P400 MHEV would have been second choice, P525 3rd choice, then diesel and god knows if I would have done 4.4 (probably) or 3.0 (sensibly). L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... I quite like an 18 plate thats on the LR site....its a 340bhp Petrol but dont think its MHEV.... just a 3.0SC and its got eh cintage tan leather, quite nice actually but would maybe like a 20 plate if I was going to get a latest model....as you say I'll probabyl keep it a few years....unless I sell one of the businesses and get my intended GWagen lol bleedin COVID scuppered that!! all smug in my new plug!

The 3.0SC used to be my target, then I realised I could not get AB, had a dither and during the dither it got discontinued. I would regard the 3.0SC as not economical, not fast, but a competent if unexciting mover of vehicle and passengers. When meh is good enough. So for the right price, I would absolutely go for it.
