United Kingdom 2019 Range Rover Vogue SDV6 Santorini Black
Loving my Fatty - so far

OK early days - but I have finally got my self a 'Fatty'
After a history of Series2, Series 3, 90 TD5, 110 TDCI, Disco 2, 3, 4 & lastly a Disco 5 - I have finally got to scratch my Full Fat itch.
I'm now the proud owner of a 'pre-reg' L405 Westminster SDV6
Got a good trade in for my D5 (on a 17 plate) - ended up getting a fair bit more from the dealer than WBAC.
The pre-reg deal worked out really well - OK I'm the second owner but when I got the car it only had 16 miles on the clock.

Was looking at the new Defender 110 but by the time I added my extras - I was well up in to new D5 territory - and only a small amount short of the fatty - so I took the plunge.

Very please - I thought the D5 was comfy - but sorry (to my bum) its not a patch on the RR.
Just getting use to the new toys - got a few things to do - already sorted out my rear storage solution, just need to get a dog guard now.

Once the weather brightens up a bit I'll post some picks -

You're very near Cam Tech Craig's place for servicing. Way better than a main dealer....

Very tasty, nice one, HDFB110, must feel good to feel the difference from Disco to fatty like that because I bet we ALL considered a Disco for a fleeting moment before going all-in! Thumbs Up L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso

Yeah - don't get me wrong having had Disco 2, 3, 4 & 5 - they have all got gradually more up market & comfier.
But had always been keen on full size Range Rover.
Really went in to look at the potentials of a more up market new shape Defender.
But they offered me a great deal on this - they even gave a bit more with some haggling - so I went for it.

OK it might be a 'runout' SDV6 - but that's an engine that suits me & my driving needs.
The 30+ thousand miles I did in the Disco 5 returned an overall avg MPG of 34 (that's my fill up to fill up calc - not the in car gauge)
So far the RR seems very comparable - might even get better as the engine loosens up a bit.

I'm very much the sort of 'each to their own' - I'm really enjoying it so far.

Just need to get a dog guard sorted out - have my old D5 one for sale on the D5 site (it was a Travall one which I thought was very good but the garage said they did not want it - non genuine)

Travall seem to the out of stock on the RR version - betting that COVID related !!!
