2011 Gearbox Service.

Hi guys,
Can anyone advise the best place for a full gearbox service kit for my 2011 ff?
need the sump pan, bolts and oil (pref real zf lifeguard) need to do this service soon. Local independent has quoted £650 + vat! they don't even do a full flush for that. I guess that is just Aberdeen prices Big Cry
Anyway got a clear workshop and time so thought I would get this done along with the diff oil changes as she just hit 113k miles.

Thanks for any help in advance.

It was part of a number of other jobs (oil cooler change/oil service/coolant change).

The main cost was labour with oils £200 or so.

My gearbox service at London prices was about £290 iirc. I had my supercharger done as well as I was pleasantly surprised for a bit extra Smile

This i shipped from Germany, takes a few days but all genuine gear.

Prices change daily.. I paid £178 some time ago, I've looked back a few times and saw it both above and below that price. (£185 at time of posting)

Hope this helps...

Thanks, I think I will go for that and do the pan and oil as much as I can then do the oil again in a few months to get more flushed out.
nothing seems wrong but the old girl is getting up in the miles now and was to do all the fluid changed. Got the diff oil coming today and just did the engine with low ash oil and new coolant and break fluid. Only the gear box and to sort out now. Thumbs Up

8 speed has a thermostat in line nr the front cooler so it's not as easy to replace all the oil in one go. You also won't replace the torque convertor oil either.
Personally you'd be much better off getting Mikey at MMP to do it properly via a Megaflush. Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

You seem to be doing what I intend doing. Only difference is, I have to pay someone to do it. First fluid change was the brake fluid when I had new discs and pads. Tomorrow is gearbox and engine oil change, seems like a long job but like yours, it needs doing. I get a message on start-up, -6000 mile oil service. Dreading the cost but I trust the garage so fingers crossed. Will let you know the final cost. Next will be a coolant change, I managed the screenwash myself.... Rolling with laughter
