Shelf life of engine oil

Ok so I now have 5 x 1 ltr bottles of Castrol GTX handed out "free" as a top up pack by the local dealership after every time the car is serviced. I never need to top the oil up after about the first 3-4 months of ownership so have all this oil sitting in the garage. How long can I keep it? ie does it have a shelf life before the additives start to breakdown or whatever 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

Ebay. Laughing

I believe various oil sellers say 2 to 5 years, depending on the product.
I'd just give it a right good shaking first.

How does this sound then "Special Castrol GTX Limted Edition top-up pack, complete, unopened highly sought after 2006,2007,2008,2009,2010 editions, very few remain in circulation. A must have buy for the collector and will only appreciate in value as the oil price goes up" Maybe I'll post it on April 1st.................
