intermittent rear camera

hello
my rear camera works intermittently
when i start the car; it either works or does not for the entire ride
i did not figure out what could impair it to work every time
did this happen to anyone here
thks 2013 L405 V8 5.0 Aspirated Autobiography
gone 2005 LR3 V8 4.4 HSE
1999 TD5 Defender

done a few tests, and
1- if i put the rear speed on, just after starting the engine, it does work 50% of the time
2 -if i wait 10 to 20 secs, i have the error message
3- if i wait a good 30 to 40 secs after starting the enging and puting then the rear speed, the camera works
weird... 2013 L405 V8 5.0 Aspirated Autobiography

an examination of the wiring would be my first job...check for loose/corroded connections and water ingress ..

also a low battery voltage can stop power going to non essential items like the 12v sockets and maybe the reverse camera...worth checking the battery condition.. ... - .- -.
