The only way I got it to work was by actually downloading a track to my phone - it then pairs every time, but always automatically plays that particular track if you don’t start Spotify etc - and you can’t stop it. Very annoying if you just want nav instructions via Bluetooth. |

It is I think possible to update the firmware on them. Might be worth a google.

Perhaps yours is faulty. I don't think about mine. Four phones, all connect, and we don't think about it. We use a combination of Apple Music and Spotify. Yes, playlists are mostly set to download, but that is a good thing as it still plays without reception But sometimes we live stream as well... |

It plays automatically when the head unit has iPod selected, yes. If it hasn’t then it won’t.

That’s what’s so irritating about it - you can’t just have, say, nav instructions without it also playing the single downloaded track that it won’t work without. It’s a relief to get in the new one with CarPlay. |

CarPlay does the exact same thing. It’s a feature. But either way has nothing to do with the Bovee. It is what an iPhone does.
