United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 V8 Santorini Black
I just purchased an L322

Hi all I’m new to the forum and Range Rover. I looked about 12 months ago at an l405 but decided that it was just a little more than I wanted to pay and at the time I didn’t want to get an L322 due to the age. So last Christmas I purchased an F-Pace 3.0 petrol supercharged S after being impressed at carfest north on the demo track ( great engine but terrible brakes and a bit squeaky). Then Covid hit and no more driving to work. I was watching my car devalue and not get used. So as I had done the research last year, i new I didn’t want a 3.0, I traded it for an L322 4.4tdv8. I picked the car that I thought was the best condition and managed to find a 2 owner from new who had purchased it from land rover as an ex demo, he’d kept it well abs always serviced at Land Rover. 69k on the clock. The garage was worth a mention I used the vogue centre in Manchester, now this is a bit of a rough and ready sort of place if you are used to main dealers, but the bloke seems genuine and whilst prices are high he does ensure the cars are checked over and anything found done. So it had a few jobs on the front suspension and a recent brake job on the back abs new pads on the front.
So far I have given is a good clean,

Touched up the fronts seats with colour lock paint/dye that was a perfect match.
I have had the entire underneath sorted and rust treated and then waxoiled(just not using waxoil)
I have a new rear centre brake light to sort
Replaced a floppy key fob cover
Refitted the drains where the last owner had the battery replaced.
Changed the air filters and cabin filter
Given the aircon a clean using an autoglym spray.
I have fixed a code with the help of the search function by replacing the fuel water sensor using the cheaper 3.6tdv8 part.
I have clay bared cleaned it and used a ceramic treatment on the paint.
Cleaned the rear parcel shelf but I think I need to attack it a third time.

Still to do
Fix the light up tread steps
Replace some of the interior bulbs
Change you the wheel nuts
Change wheel centres the last owner had the wheels repainted it’s an on job for now
Get a full GEO once Wales reopens.
Post winter change the side steps
Maybe a CarPlay upgrade I did it to my old merc and it was great but I have ordered the converter and will see how I get on with the phone stuck to the dash first.

I can’t believe how well it goes for a big car, I have come from fast saloon cars in the past.

So thanks for the info so far on the forum I’m going to vanish and jet wash the parcel shelf! I think I might have caught the full fat bug!

I like James at the Vogue Centre in Manchester too. Massive stock, mostly black Range Rovers with Ivory interiors.

Well I did a reasonable run this evening and the car impressed me. Most of the miles were across country on A roads and I was a great place to be, it surprised me how well it handled the twists without feeling too big, and what an engine that 4.4 is. I made me wonder what is would be like in a fast saloon car. Much better than I expected.
