Yes, as DrRob said.
Besides
- keeping the bonnet open
- turning ignition ON (not starting the engine) to display the Oil Level menu/screen
- then pressing the Cancel button (speed) for more than 2 seconds twice
Will send you back to the standard screen on the dashboard but will also make a reset for the "Oil Service" message.

How about using some net curtain wire? Nice and flexible in case there's a slight kink in the tube somewhere.

Yes kevinp, it is a possibility. This damn hose is really tight, will measure for sure but I think its inner diameter is 6mm.
