The difference is only 9mm in the radius - not 18 which is the diameter - a lot will depend on the manufacturer of the tyre - my 285/50/20 are far taller than regular 285/50’s as they AT tyres with very deep tread and don’t accord with the normal size range of that tyre - I would suspect the 275’s will fit ok - if anything they may just catch on full lock.

I'm a bit nervous about off road use this winter with the Pirelli Verdre All Seasons I have fitted. Although I didn't really worry them last winter, but then the only really muddy sections I drove were pretty much flat.

That’s what I have Cooper AT3 in 285/50/20 - these are my winter tyres for the shooting season and summer are 285/40/22 on Turbines. Why not just go for the 285/50’s and save any hastle - they fit without issue both in the car and in the tyre well. 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17 |

According to the Cooper website the AT3 4S isn’t available in that size:

What about Goodyear All-Terrain Adventure? They’re OE for the new Defender. |

Yeah, they’re very much on my radar and available in 275/55/20. With Kevlar reinforcement in that size as well. Not all sizes have the Kevlar. |

Mmm maybe there is no stock at the moment - very much doubt they have stopped making them - have you tried Silverline? Another option are Toyo 285/50/20 - I have a set of their tyres in a different size on a Defender and they are excellent https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/274514905699 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17 |

10 second google - the Coopers are listed here for sale, although they appear currently out of stock it shows Cooper are still making them in that size :

Thanks. I also found them for sale (shown as out of stock), but my concern was more that Cooper had stopped manufacture or U.K. supply. I wanted to avoid buying a set and then find in the future that I can’t replace one due to them being no longer available.
