Front Diff? intermittent noise on overrun

Hi All,

This does not happen often but at random and usually when cold... I get a droning noise when i ease off the accelerator.

It goes away and sometimes it is never heard.

I was reading up... would it be the front diff?
And if so how can i be sure and take whatever preventative measures there are.

With regards the Recall i assume its well and truly gone?

I thought I’d read that L322 & L320 were pretty hard on front diffs. I suppose a fluid change would reveal what’s going on by looking for scarf. Also if you can run it on a lift and use a sound stick to eliminate any costly guessing. visiting from www.rrsport.co.uk
