Nope.

Too many people I know care too much about how many friends they have, when 90% of the people they don't really know anyway. They just want to have more "friends".

I'm sure it has it's uses though.

You're a bunch of miserable old gits arent you.

People can post pictures of you car on the internet - not just facebook though. If you google Range Rover L322 - my photo's litter it. Some posted on this site - I'm not about to remove all photo's I've uploaded here.

We all have real friends, I have acquaintances on FB, I also have good friends on there - I also have various FFRR/RR.NET guys and it's actually a really good way of keeping in touch. I'm not interested in what my old school mates did at the weekend. However I do want to know what the latest FFRR guy has bolted to his car. The chat system on there is also easier than PM'ing on here.

So don't rule it out completely.

Scarey, which planet are you living on?
I don't have a Facebook page either and don't want one.
My Filipino and Ukraine crew on the ship all have it on their laptops and smartphones and they buy local SIM cards wherever we go and use facebook to keep in contact with their families - from that point of view it is a very good thing. A combination of that and texting means they are rarely out of touch with home when we are in port or coastal waters. Facebook is so popular that it has taken over from Skype for these guys as you need a much better quality internet connection for skype 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

the problem Dan was that the number plate was clearly visible - and if you have the 'right/wrong' contacts its very easy to get the registered owners details

and also the next doors 'trade' van was visible so a quick online search would have shown location!

so its almost like a saleroom for potential car thieves Laughing

maybe the 'old gits' comment is closer to home? - by your definitions i'm probably geriatric Mr. Green

This is how you block Facebook from your work computers by the way...
(We use Windows 7)

Open a command prompt as admin, then type:

notepad C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

This'll open a new window, then copy and paste this at the bottom.

No and not planning. Same with twitter and all other 'social' networks.
