Bogie, I have a spare amp. It is a LEAR (BMW) but works. bought it in error as it was the wrong one for my model. It has 2 ports for the wires. I will try adn photo it adn send you or you could PM me photos of your connection box so I can see if it matches.

if it does you can have it at cost. Thumbs Up

OK, had a good check of everything in the rear electronics compartment.

cleaned all connections with contact cleaner etc and double checked all were firm. None were corroded

it dosent seem damp in there, but put a couple more bags of silica stuff in there, just to be sure

so will try it this week, usually it takes 30mins into a journey before it starts playing up - random NAV reboots and then radio cutting out, but leaving power light on. Switch on/off again after a min or so and it comes back ...for a few mins then repeats

The amp IS a LEAR model anyway, XB000030 part number (I think) so if it still plays up this week may have to purchase a spair Smile cheers

I'm going to out myself as I now also have this issue - this thread may be contagious!

Ok my findings so far.. I lost DSP on occasions, some times greyed out. LED on Radio knob always ok.

After some suggestions last time it happened I hit the blue tooth button on my Nokia handsfree.. nothing.. then again.. the bluetooth started to ring my last call.. (at 620am! - doh), hung up quick. What do you know sound returned Confused

Don't know if this is a indication of the problem or a on the road fix.

I also previously let the sat nav shut down, pulled fuses for the radio and sat nav. Disconnected the battery for 15 min and pulgged all back in, seemed to stettle for a few days then.

Next job.. pull the boot tray and trim and check the wiring for inaccessible silver box (forgot which but detailed further up the thread here.)

Will post any solution if I find one. Evil or Very Mad 2010 Disco XS TDV6, 2009 Freelander 2 GS
