Drive Belt Tensioner

Good morning,

I'm looking to buy and fit a drive belt tensioner (LR022809) for a 2011 L322 4.4TDV8. The forum has been helpful in identifying part numbers and steps for installation - cheers northernmonkeyjones.

There is BRITPART tensioner with land rover part number and official looking sticker, made in Germany:

versus the genuine JLR part, made in Slovakia:

The latter is more than 3.5 times the price Shocked

How are BRITPART able to use the Land Rover logo on its packaging if it's an aftermarket part?
I don't have any experience with BRITPART but noticed concerns on the forum, is this still the case?

Cheers,

N

United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Buckingham Blue

They have a long parts warranty so no reason not to try it.
I had a belt squeak which was NOT cured by tensioner alone. New belt and idlers made the squeak disappear Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

DrRob,

That's the worry - I have the seven part numbers lined up for tensioner, 4x idler pulleys and 2x belts - but given the relative simplicity of fitting the tensioner as a first step, it seems worth a try...
