Disconnected vacuum pipe

Looking under the bonnet at the front passenger side a vac pipe is loose,part number shows. Bh42 3n226 ab p108, it has a rubber"hooked" piece on top but I cant see where it connects to,anybody know?

Sounds like a front diff or gearbox / transfer breather pipe if it's got a hooked end on it.

LR put them high so when you're wading in water the gearbox / diff / transfer case doesn't suck in water as it rapidly cools the component.

Lunch-time and I looked up the part from the ref you gave, it's the breather for the front diff.

Doesn't connect to anything, you should find at least two others as well if you look around the back of the engine above the bellhousing.

The breather just lets the air in the diff expand / contract whilst being high enough not to suck in anything nasty such as water when wading
