Loud crack when lower tailgate opens

As topic, when the lower opens, loud crack, sounds like it comes from the middle, any ideas greatly appreciated.

Don’t think so Stan, have pushed it further past where it stops, thought the same and it still cracks, will take the lower trim off at the weekend and have a look inside
