Mar sensor readings

Hi guys , I was reading some live data from my maf sensors , I have a airflow reading from bank 1 which rises with revs as you expect . On bank 2 sensor nothing 0 g/s ? . I have no fault codes , if I unplug bank 2 sensor the car immediately goes onto restricted performance .
I swapped the sensors from each side and still the same as above .
The car runs fine , I have no issues , any ideas please .

Thanks Paul 2011 tdv8 4.4 vogue Santorini black

Paul

Are you taking readings when running under load on the road or at idle on the drive and, referring to the sensors on the air intake filters' outlets and removing the connector on the nearside one?

I'm sure someone will correct me, but the NS MAFT may be unlikely to read anything below 2400rpm as the second TC does not operate below that. Have a read of this section of the WM in the Wiki.

WM/engine air intake distribution and fitlering/locations Cheers

Hi Richard ,

yes just readings sat on the drive , i did remove n/s connector and it sounded straightaway different on the offside filter as if it was trying to compensate .
Thanks for the info sounds as if i have nothing to worry about .

Thank You 2011 tdv8 4.4 vogue Santorini black

Hi Paul

How about trying some live readings on the car when you're driving?
If you have a GAP then there's all sorts to run (worry about Smile ) whille pottering. Give you a good idea of what's normal before it goes awol.

Enjoy the car, they're great. Cheers
Richard

I use the GAP tool to take live readings whilst driving but as yet, I still haven’t pinpointed on the graphs when mine goes into restricted performance. 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded
