Self Deploying Side Steps - May 2006 S/C

Hi

Does anyone know if they will work on a May 2006 Range Rover?

Reason for asking is because I am struggling to see what prevent it from working albeit Land Rover site says its only for 2007 onwards model

Any clarity most appreciated

Dont forget you will need the ECU aswell LR004028 £91

£1400 plus fitting costs for deployable steps & ECU seems a touch expensive to me, even if you can get them to work on a 2006 car

I've seen them for £950...

I've always been a bit wary respective normal side steps... just dont look right to me but then its all personal choice. The self deploying ones kind of have the gadget factor albeit an expensive one. Its one to save and do!

what confused me more was the link to MY06

I like them alot just not the price, but if money no object i would have them above the normal steps and tubes if only for the gadget factor!!!

Where have you seen them for £950?

2006 Range Rover Vogue SE Supercharged Java Black

Did you ever manage to get these to work on your 2006 car? i am trying to find if there is a retrofit to make these work...cheers

no -gave up for a while to be fair. Main RR dealerships state you need a 2007 model type chassis number to guarantee them working with 2006 cars.

How has your research gone?

Auto Audio and Revere London can do it but it is £3000+; not worth it in my opinion...
