Please can you help me 2008 Vogue ?

I had a faulty final resistor which I replaced with an eBay cheap one worked great but one week later totally dead.

Fuses are fine and the motor runs on direct connection to power.

I have tried 2 more different final resistors and nothing at all, lights on dash but no blowers, also the resistor is getting warm but nothing else.

Is it OK to test the resistor by plugging it in without putting it back in the holder, as I find it a really difficult to plug in and get it out each time?

Is there anything else I can try without getting the blower motor out?

It is not the fsr. You need new blower motor to get it sorted. Yes, you can pound the dash and it will work again for unknown time, pull the fuse etc but it’s all temporary.

You can try the resistor out of position for a short period of time ok. The resistor is cooled by the airstream created by the fan so don't leave it too long.
