Hi! New User, L322 dashboard issues!

Hi all!

Just signed up because I always seem to be directed here through Google searches, but I've got a problem I can't seem to fix, so thought I'd sign up and see if anybody could help me?

I've got an intermittent issue with the LCD screen in my clocks. It's not like the BMW dead pixel issue that is fixed with a replacement ribbon (been there a long time ago with an old E39 540!)

The issue is the screen just comes and goes, it works about 25% of the time, the rest of the time it is lit up, but blank. When it does work, it's absolutely fine. No dead pixels or anything. It can be on one minute, then gone the next, and it might be a few days before I see it again. The rest of the clocks seem to work okay, just the LCD screen that has a mind of its own!

I'm pretty sure I'll be able to get it sorted myself, just need somebody to put me on the right track,

Cheers!

Olie

Thought I'd chuck a few photos of the old girl up.

Lovely thing when it's working!

It’s not a big job to take instrument cluster out. You only need to remove side vents trim and upper part of the dashboard. If somebody has already broken dash fixing places that are under side vents trim, then you need only remove upper part of dash. Check wires and connectors first.
