Why would the DPF fill up too quick?

Thanks

Neil,
Trust Rob, he is right.
Every time DPF warnings become a problem, they are caused by air leaks in the intake...the plenum hoses are the biggest cause, followed by leaks on the throttle body hose, then splits in the plastic manifolds or the plenum .

Get it changed before you fill the DPF.

You only have to read the catalogue of posts from previous failures to get the facts.

OK, good to know thanks,

It is still doing DPF burns on the GAP IID.

I will keep an eye on it. I did superglue the hole closed. So will see how it lasts over the next few days.

Thanks

Neil

Well that is annoying, order black and get blue.

So gave them a call and told the supplier I was using the parts but expect to be replacing them.

But got them fitted.

Biggest PITA was the connector shown here, not sure how that is meant to be removed, as I could not get it off.

Thanks again for all the help will have another go when the replacement black stuff turns up.

Did you cut to length or are they ready cut? Be good to post details for benefit of others in future Bow down Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

It came in a 950mm length,

Was the quickest way to get it next day from Amazon prime. From AutoSiliconehose.

Used a 3 inch glass cleaning blade to trim to length, one thig to make sure is not to make any longer than the original parts.

Be aware the inside of the plenum is a dirty place, so kae sure you have plenty of paper and brake cleaner to clean thign as you go.

The small male torx bolts that hold the front plate down can be undone with a 4mm 6 sided socket. If you do not have the correct torx fitting.

The 3 x 10mm headed bolts that hold the plenum chamber to the front plate , it is best to have 10mm ratchet spanner, this makes life slightly easier.

The bolts that hold you remove are slightly different lengths so take care of where they go.

If you use 70mm silicone pipe then a spray of a lube helps them sldie over the intakes, I used silicone spray as I had some in the garage.

BE VERY CARFUL with the the jubilees , the original ones have a flat plate on the screw area, if you releas e them too much this can fall off. There is a small risk of it going in the inlet manifold!!

Not a job that can be rushed, take your time, it took me 2 1/2 hours, cleaning as I went.

Thanks
