window left open - locking car?

might be me not understanding something - not unusual!

but if you leave a window/sunroof open and then lock the car i expect the said window/sunroof to close automatically

have i got something wrong?

and if someone says its an 'option' to be switched on the a main dealer i'll throw something Rolling with laughter

You need to hold the lock button, then the windows and sunroof will close.

You can do the same in reverse.

well, the solution kindly offered by Mr Fox does not work on my car Mad

so i guess its another 'thing' that needs to be 'switched on' by main stealers

my patience is starting to run very short with LR/RR today Evil or Very Mad

Have you pushed the button to lock/unlock and then pushed the same button again and held it down for several seconds?

If so... you're screwed. Consult your dealer. Sad

Don't you also have to be pointing the key at the drivers door lock? Ash

Please don't take this the wrong way - but this really is covered comprehensively in the manual...

I have a possible answer here for you guys.

All the windows need to work in the "one touch" mode to allow this option to work, i.e. you push the button to wind down and let go and the window still goes to the bottom as opposed to having to hold the button down till the window gets to the bottom.

To make this happen, hold the button down till the window goes all the way to the bottom and release the button, then repeat the process to wind up and release the button - then hold the button up for 2 - 3 seconds.

Once done try to wind the window down, if you push the button down fully and release and the window continues going down then that window is ok - repeat for all other windows.

This should switch on the "all open/close option". With the windows open, push the lock button and keep pressed pointing the fob towards the vehicle, after a few seconds the windows should close etc.

Hope this helps chaps. "UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" ----is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" -----------is how far you take the fence with you.
