United Kingdom 2019 Range Rover SVAutobiography 5.0 SC V8 Barolo Black
Auto Opening and Closing of the Sun Blind

Hi all,

just had the AutoBog in the stealeers for its annual service (all good with the car Very Happy ). They gave me a MY19 Velar to smoke around in whilst they played with mine.

The car had the fixed pano sunroof and when I locked the car the sunblind closed and when I got back in it reopened all by its self. I was wondering if that was just a feature on this model or do FullFats do that too, it doesnt on my MY17!

If they do is possible to enable that option oin my MY17 as I would have thought it was just a software modification?

TIA
David

Not sure. I had an FPace (basically the same as a Velar) and I used to keep the blind open, but now and again on a hot day I would come back to the car and the blind would be closed. Same thing happens on the Fatty, but I’ve never been able to work out why!

Having had a fixed pano roof, I’ll never have another. Yes they let light in, but they seem to heat the car up much more than an opening roof does, if you see what I mean ie even with the roof closed.

There's an option in the settings on mine. If you set it to auto then is closes when you lock it and then reopens to the same position you originally had itwhen you unlock it. MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

Yes, it does this to preserve the temperature, it remembers the original state and reverts to it when you come back. Of course, if it is closed by the driver, it remains like that.

ON 2018MY onwards, the setting for the blind is via the lower screen under climate settings. Worth checking if there is an option on yours in the climate menu?

Cheers,
