Strange Noise!

Hope everyone is keeping well and enjoying the weather and out for a drive! First post in a while!

Apologies for the rubbish title, but not sure how else to describe it! My L322 4.2 SC started making a whirring/whining noise today. Not sure it’s related to the hot weather? Coming from the engine bay. Opened the bonnet and it’s hard to pinpoint the noise. Noticed very hot air blowing from the n/s front of the engine bay in between the engine and the radiator. Any ideas?

Could be a failing Viscous coupling on the cooling fan? There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
