If I remember right, BMW spent nearly £2 billion developing the L322. The most spent on any car at that point.

Yeah, supply and demand and all that. I’ve changed the wheels on all the Land Rovers I’ve had except my current one, but I’ve still stayed with factory options.

I added BMW electronics to my TD6, like ULF Bluetooth, Mk 4 Sat Nav and digital TV tuner.... oh, and the stage 2 BM54 amp upgrade from Baris, but they were all sort of “hidden” upgrades.
