Oh wow Greg, awesome find Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

That's a genius bit of tech. I'm sure there'll be a huge market for classic cars but I wonder if the more complex LCD screen technology would make it a non-starter in newer cars.

No mention of cost but can't be cheap as it's pretty much a bespoke piece of kit.

Still, very cool... Cool Cool 2021 D350 Fifty Edition - Carpathian Grey

I'm surprised the guy that makes them doesn't have more of a presence online, but he's selling the Lotus dashboards through a Lotus parts supplier. Just under £1500

I also think they missed a trick with the fighter jet effects..
On an Esprit, it has to be a 007 submarine effect - a reverse Tesla easter egg.

If you haven't seen that:

This is not as difficult as you might think, except for the software graphics and the physical look of the installed components and I take my hat off to the guys skills in this area.

When I set out to buy a FFRR I was determined to buy a P38 v8 and was planning to replace the Audio and Sat Nav with a Raspberry Pi based system with a HiFi quality sound card which would also support a full diagnostics data display using the OBD2 data bus. All I needed to do was get the mounting components 3D printed.

Both of the above software systems are freely available code that one can take and modify to suit. It would not be difficult to feed the OBD data to a second RPi controlling a display mounted in the instrument binnacle, covering those instruments driven by OBD data, others would need connecting to various ports on the RPi.

However I have not investigated how the P38 instruments receive their data ie is the speedo driven by a flexi drive cable? Other sensors include temperature, oil etc etc...

Would I do an instrument panel, no probably not its a lot of work, but Audio and Diagnostics Yes. Range Rover 4.2 Supercharged 2006
