My theory is it’s all down to how the car is used. Short, frequent journeys not good. Long runs, good. Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

That's also a good point (along with the fuel quality one from earlier), you can do much more damage by not using the car much. MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid MY19 SDV8 Autobiography - Sold |

Very true indeed, but work how well ? A 6 cylinder engine will still "work" running on 5 cylinders......... I'm more than comfortable with my own experiences of running (relatively) high revving and performance diesel engines for decades to continue using the "snake oil" thanks. Big lazy truck engines are fine on low-cetane rating fuels - as long as it's clean. 2003 Range Rover Vogue TD6 |

This thread is a perfect example of the effect of powerful advertising. Disregards the science, I know best amazing. They can produce minimal power increase and do nothing to the MPG other than this tiny increase in power developed which would give an equally tiny MPG improvement. The rest, snakeoil !
