United Kingdom 2015 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Firenze Red

The car at Roger Young’s is the Vogue SE, the one in Launceston is the Autobiography. Excuse my ignorance but is the Autobiography just referred to as the Autobiography or Vogue Autobiography?

I have to admit that when I went to look at the SE, the sales chap told me the car had been cleaned but there was green tree stuff down the sides of all the windows, the headliner and door pillars were filthy and the cup holders still had bits of biscuits or something still in them.

I said to him it’s been cleaned but not valeted then? Rolling Eyes

I hope that when it’s ready to be collected it’s pristine as £36k is a huge amount of money to spend on a product that still has evidence of the previous owner!

United Kingdom 2017 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Aintree Green

Happy to help out here, so please keep asking the questions Thumbs Up

The trim levels are Vogue, Vogue SE and the Autobiography. The last time I looked at a used RR at RY’s they stuck by their guns on price, telling me that I should expect to pay more due to their “high standard of preparation”; when I asked if they would repair the obvious body damage, where it had been disguised with a paint brush (on an £80,000 used car) (!), I was firmly told that the car “is what it is” and it wouldn’t be repaired as part of paying full price. They wouldn’t repair any rim damage either. This wasn’t the first (but it was the last) bad experience of dealing with them. It doesn’t surprise me that they’ve skimped on the preparation.

Scotland 2014 Range Rover Vogue SDV6 Santorini Black

If being sold by a reputable seller, does said AB (similar mileage and price to the Firenze SE) - even being a 2014 rather than 2015 - not represent better VFM all in (overall spec and optional extras, colour perhaps appealing to more buyers)?

LR main dealer prep on AU cars can be poor. Ours had a fair bit done to it before collection but the standard of finish and cleaning wasnt great when you looked up close and it had accumulated damage between my paying the deposit and collecting, damage they left me to organise making good on 🙄... it took me months to systematically get it all ‘as new’ again; and they were very poor with their after sales service.

When I looked at mine, there were a couple of marks on the paint that I was sure would polish out but a scratch on the B Pillar trim that I didn't think would. I was told they would try and polish it out, but if that didn't work it would be replaced. They must have used a filler polish as it looked perfect when I picked it up, but after a couple of washes it's visible again.

They're taking it in next week to sort that out, along with a parking sensor that's either come unclipped or the clip is broken and they missed that it didn't have a locking wheel nut key, so they will order me one of those as well.

The repair on a kerbed wheel isn't 100% perfect, but you have to be very close to notice and the car is 18 months old, so I'll live with that.

The dealers response has been excellent, so I don't really have any complaints. MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

Firenze is a fab colour.

Try and get a build sheet for both cars so you can see exactly what they have.

As said the prep standards of a dealership car can be variable, but get eyes on before they prep it if possible, to see what the underlying car is like and you will get a better idea of the condition. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Euro 6?

Not Euro 6.

The bugs were fixed from MY2015. August 2014 and later builds. Takes JLR a few years to sort things out.

United Kingdom 2015 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Firenze Red

I decided on the Vogue SE as the overall deal they offered was better than the AB and Roger Young is only 5 min from home.

As for the prep work, I walked around the car with the sales chap and the business manager pointing out bits to be either cleaned or repaired or polished out.

One alloy had a huge gouge out of it and when we looked at the spare, it was in the grey colour and not silver, so they agreed to refurb all wheels in the grey metallic colour to match the trim accent.

I have the VIN.so can I use this to check the build spec?

Yes.

You can go to topix and enter the VIN to get the build sheet.

Yep. Google Land Rover Topix.

Good choice.

Excellent colour. Firenze really stands out. Loved my Firenze 322

Oh and it’s got roof rails. So if you ever want a roof rack it’s a lot easier!!

Day my Firenze 322 left me.... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
